Organizational Status

The first SAPOZEON organizational meeting was held June 24th, 2004 to identify interested individuals and institutions and their NEON-relevant research efforts and facilities in the SAPOZEON region. The meeting was also intended to begin an effort to identify key scientific issues and questions that NEON might address in the region and how NEON might do this. This meeting was attended by about 35 individuals representing approximately 20 different institutions from the states of North Carolina, Kentucky, Tennessee, Alabama, Arkansas, and Missouri (see attendee list in Appendix A). The results of this meeting can be found in the final meeting report (138K Word doc).
