Mid-Atlantic Region Ecological Observatory (MAREO)

Regional boundaries

Regional boundaries extend northward from coastal North Carolina into Pennsylvania, and westward from the Atlantic coast to the Ohio valley, including all or portions of the states of Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland, Delaware, Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Ohio.

Organizational Status

An initial organizational workshop was held in late January 2004. Efforts are now focusing on formalizing relationships and identifying additional scientists within the region who might be able to contribute to MAREO success in the future.
